“A Morning with Mo Willems,” is a free family event that will kick off this year’s Easthampton BookFest. The event will showcase Willems’ newest picture books, including I REALLY LIKE SLOP! and THE PIGEON WANTS A PUPPY. Willems will also take questions from his young fans. Free advance tickets are required for entry. Mo will sign his books following the presentation.
Please consider arriving by 9:30AM.
9:15AM for doors and book purchases; 9:45AM for auditorium. Show at 10:00AM.
Book-signing: A selection of Mo Willems books can be purchased from White Square Fine Books and Art in the week leading up to the event as well as at the high school on Saturday morning. Please note:
- You may bring one book from home or an unlimited number of new books purchased from White Square.
- No personalization.
- For safety reasons, board books and stuffed animals cannot be signed.
- A limited number of pre-signed books will be available for those who have to leave early or who cannot attend the event.
- Mo is happy to pose for a flash-free picture
Mo Willems, a New York Times number one best-selling author and illustrator, has been awarded a Caldecott Honor on three occasions (for Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale, and Knuffle Bunny Too: A Case of Mistaken Identity). Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! was also an inaugural inductee into the Indies Choice Picture Book Hall of Fame. His celebrated Elephant & Piggie early-reader series has been awarded the Theodor Seuss Geisel Medal twice (for There Is a Bird on Your Head! and Are You Ready to Play Outside?) as well as garnering five Geisel Honors (for We Are in a Book!, I Broke My Trunk!, Let's Go for a Drive!, A Big Guy Took My Ball! and Waiting is Not Easy!).
