A More Walkable St. George

By City of St. George

Overview

Are you interested in sharing your vision for the future of St. George? Do you want to know what makes a place walkable?

Join the City of St. George for its first Stakeholder Dialogue: Defining Walkable Vision, Goals, and Metrics—an exciting kickoff event for the City’s first Comprehensive Plan!

This community event will feature a special lecture by Jeff Speck, renowned city planner and author of Walkable City, the best-selling urban planning book of this century. Mr. Speck has inspired communities around the world to rethink how their streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces can become more walkable, safe, sustainable, and vibrant.

A Walkable City lecture is an opportunity to energize and inspire residents about how small changes to streets and public spaces can have a big impact on quality of life. Following Mr. Speck’s presentation, attendees will learn more about the St. George Comprehensive Plan—a long-range policy document that will guide how our city grows and develops over the next 20 to 30 years.

Your participation is key to shaping this vision. Come share your ideas, connect with your neighbors, and help define the future of St. George.

Even if you cannot attend in person, a recording of the presentation and a brief online survey will be available on the City of St. George website following the event.
