Event description

Description

At times we may feel that we can’t sit still. Our thoughts are racing a million miles per second and it’s impossible to even think about stopping for stillness. What if you could reap the benefits of meditation without stopping your momentum?

The fact that you've noticed you can’t sit still, or recognized the flood of thoughts in your mind, is mindfulness in itself. It’s also your body's way of giving you feedback that there’s a lot going on inside. Journaling has been around for centuries and is an often-overlooked form of meditation.

We’ll have an hour and a half to dive deep into the art of mindful journaling. We’ll begin with a guided meditation, followed by a few prompts to tap into your state of mind and connect to your emotional wellness.

You'll each receive a mini mindfulness journal with blank pages to use for the workshop. You are also welcome to bring your own journaling and writing tools.

We'll set some intentions, and you'll be guided through the journaling practice, flowing from intention to intention. You’ll take away 4 tangible ways to begin an introspective journaling practice that can be used at any moment. Through this workshop, we'll also lead you to finding a personal mantra.

Everyone can benefit from the art of mindful journaling! If you’re curious about new ways to meditate, or if you find yourself saying “I don’t meditate” or “I don’t know how to meditate,” this workshop could be for you.

Join us May 22nd for an evening of creative expression and mindfulness. Space is very limited at this workshop, so reserve your seat today!

About Brenda:

I’m a wellness advocate crafting my career as a yoga, mindfulness, and public health professional. With a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, my main goal is to share these practices and make it approachable to everyone. I currently teach in Seattle, WA and lead international wellness retreats. These practices have been pivotal in my own path to health, both physical and emotional. We often hear how mental health is a current public health issue, I would add to that by saying emotional wellness is just as much a public health crisis right now as obesity, chronic diseases, and mental health. I’m currently working toward becoming an Emotional Wellness Coach to complement my learnings and passion for total well-being for all. Find out more at https://beeumana.com/
