About Susan Tate: Susan discovered Nia in 1997 while she was the Director of Health Promotion and assistant professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia. She is a black belt Nia instructor and Nia Five Stages of Self-Healing instructor and completed all of her trainings with The Nia Technique co-creators Debbie Rosas and Carlos AyaRosa. She has been teaching Nia since 1999. When she is not teaching Nia classes and workshops internationally, you will find her teaching weekly classes in the Central Virginia area.
