Topic: A journey to the future of HR…by helicopter!
Recruiting and retaining talent is a popular topic these days. With the first baby boomer having applied for social security in October of 2007, organizations are scrambling to identify, recruit and hire talent to fill the void that the retiring baby boomers will leave. Although the economy has delayed a mass exodus, you can’t retire 75+ million baby boomers and not feel the pinch, no matter when it occurs.
So, what do you know about Generation Y? What about the strategies that companies are deploying to attract them? As an organization how you compete and attract talent matters. But wait…there’s more! What happens when you hire a group of GenY workers, what comes next? Now is the time to be prepared for a buzzing, rescuing, advocating, paranoia, and safety conscious conversation. What does all this mean? Two words…Helicopter Parents!
