Event Details

Alternatives to Violence Project California (AVP/CA) would like to invite you to its First Annual AVP 5K Walk/Run. Runners and walkers of all levels and ages are welcome. This is a unique opportunity to have a Superb and Wonderful time with friends and family while at the same time contributing to changing lives, families, and communities for the better. The funds raised here will help AVP volunteers continue to organize workshops in 26 prisons and jails, and more than a dozen communities throughout the state of California. Workshops are the heart of AVP’s efforts to reduce interpersonal violence in society.

Join us by wearing your favorite Superhero attire. Whether it’s a t shirt or a fun costume, we’d love to see it!

Race day registration begins at 7:00 am and is by cash only.

Discount rates avaliable:  $10 per participant for groups of 10 or more; $15 for students and seniors.

Volunteer, donation, and vendor/booth opportunities are also avaliable.

For questions or more information, email Elizabeth Sanchez at Esanch82@calstatela.edu.
