About this Event

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED - SEE YOU IN AUGUST!

“One day I brought a CD with Nina Simone songs that echoed into the hall, bold and resonant. We listened in silence and the sun poured into the windows like a gold we all needed to wear that day. Why would we need such a treasure? I will say that even the darkest places let us get a glimpse of light.” – Tara Betts, PNAP Faculty

Please join us for A GOLD WE ALL NEED, a celebration and art auction to benefit Prison + Neighborhood Arts Project. Support from our community is an essential part of realizing the creative and scholarly work we do behind the wall and in our communities. Enjoy food, drinks, music and conversation along with art and other items for sale. The auction and sale will close at 8:00pm with more fun to follow until 10:00pm.

We are honored to share a collection of work generously donated by Chicago artists and writers who support PNAP’s mission including Maria Gaspar, Andres Hernandez, Aaaron Hughes, Martine Whitehead, Sarah Ross, Steve Reber, Martina Nerhling, Nicholas Lampert, Mary Patten, Nicole Marroquin, Marc Fischer, Edra Soto and more!
