A Gathering for the Longest Night with music by The Many
An evening of liturgy & scripture. A time to pray, light candles, and sing. Space to let ourselves lament...our personal sorrows and the hurt and brokenness all around us...and walk toward hope for a more generous, just and loving world.
The music will include tradtional Advent songs and carols, as well as original music from Chicago band, The Many.
There will be light food, drink and time for conversation when you arrive at 6:30. We will gather for the music and liturgy at 7.
LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE. RESERVE YOURS EARLY.
There are only 75 seats available, so we need you to RSVP by hitting the Register button above.
We are not charging for this event because we want to make it available to everyone, and no offering will be taken that night. So we ask, if you are able, when you register, to choose a DONATION ticket, to help us defray the costs. But if you aren't able to give, no worries...we want you to be here. Simply choose the Free ticket option.

Special thanks to Sally Iberg, Joan Hutchinson and all the folks at Pilgrim Congregational Church for inviting us to create this gathering in their space and for their partnership and participation in the planning and leadership of the evening.
Is there an age limit for this event?
This event is open to all ages, however, parts of the evening will be quiet and meditative, so it is not recommended for small children. Currently, there is no nursery available.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Free parking is available in the large Pilgrim Church parking lot adjacent to the building. It's also just a short walk from the Ridgeland stop of the Green Line train.
Will there be an offering at the event? Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
We will not take an offering at the event, that's why we ask that you support the work of the musicians putting this evening together through a Donation Ticket, and give as much you are able. Any gift would be deeply appreciated. Once you have RSVP'd and gotten either a Donation or a Free ticket, you are welcome to give your ticket to someone else.
