A FIGHT WITHIN
Some say Hip Hop is dead but the youth of Lodebar, a city infested with crime, drugs, gang violence, promiscuity, and poverty disagrees. HighRise, Lyrical, Blessing, Glam, and Dougie are in the battle of their lives. Their weapons of choice are their abilities to sing, rap, and dance. Overlooked by society; failed by bad parents their odds flat lined at birth but with a faint heart beat and will to live outside the restraints of mediocrity these young people dream is to journey from Lodebar to greatness. Their path is through the local Youth Center for the gifted in trouble, ran by no nonsense Mr. Jim. While proud of his track record to have reared 100 at risk youth to college Mr. Jim may have encountered his first casualty in Won Washington. Won is the self-proclaimed King of the Urban Underground and he’s declared war on Mr. Jim and everyone else who choose to get in his way. With the future of “his youth” in a balance – will Mr. Jim be able to rally an army to protect them or soon learn our children are dying in the streets and no one seems to care?
