Mission Possible: A Discussion About Dating and Marriage

Are you ready? We are very excited to announce that on February 9th we will be having Dating and Marriage Coach Aleeza Ben Shalom, at Dvash. She is known to get people who are serious about getting married to the Chuppah in 6 months to a year. Over 40% of the people she has worked with over the last 3 years are engaged or married. Skeptical? I was too… But then I met her and it all made sense. Known as the Marriage Minded Mentor, people from all over the world schedule private sessions with Aleeza and results are evident by looking at all the people she has helped to the Chupah. Aleeza is a dynamic speaker and hosts a weekly show. She has been featured in the Philadelphia News, the Jewish Exponent, among other online publications.

The second member of our panel is Rabbi Dr. Mordechai Twerski. Rabbi Dr. Twerski, the Hornosteipler Rebbe, is a scion of the famous Twerski family. Hailing from Denver, Colorado he was known for his tireless efforts reaching out to Jews in the western region of the United States. He is now therav of the 300-family Bais Medrash Ateres Shloime of Flatbush providing guidance and support for his kehillah there as well as lecturing at the post-high school seminary Ohr Naava. He has an active counseling practice in family therapy reaching across all lines of the Jewish community. In addition to his practice, he has launched theTwerski Coaching and Counseling Institute (TCCI), to provide training in counseling and therapy technique to rabbanim. (Oh, and in case you were wondering, his uncle is the famous Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski.)

The third member of our panel: Rabbi Yisroel Chanowitz! Rabbi Chanowitz was born in Brooklyn growing up in a warm home open to people from all walks of life. He has experience in the fields of Kashrus, Kiruv/Chinuch, Engineering, Consulting, Administration and General Management in both the Yeshiva and business world. For 6 years he was a Chaplain in Hospitals and Nursing homes around the NY and LI area. He also spent seven and a half years at Ohr Somayach Monsey as a rabbi and administrator there. Currently he is a Facilities Administrator and an Engineering Consultant to several Yeshivos spanning 2 campuses and containing over 2000 students. In addition, he is in the process of building Yeshiva Orach Chaim, a High School for students which blends tradition with the high speed of today’s world. He currently lives in Monsey, where his home is open to all those he has taught and connected with from across the globe.

What Is This Panel Thing Anyway?

Guess what? Not only do we have three fantastic individuals on our panel but they will be answering all those questions you always wondered about. Just attend and ask away! And if you don't want to ask them in public? You can submit your question anonymously before the event. That's right... Start thinking up questions... And get ready for the exciting Mission Possible panel...

What people are saying about Dvash

“Everyone I spoke to really liked the event. I have never seen such a great reaction. I already told two people to come next week.”

Really nicely done! Nice to have a laid back but "tachlis"-oriented setting for meeting people, and centering around a shiur makes for a good focus.”

“I think [the interactive part] was a GREAT idea. I was going to leave, but the first question posed was so good that I ended up staying to hear what people said. You also get to see how people interact with others”

“Thank you for such a wonderful event. It is a much needed program in our community. And I felt like it didn't compromise my tznius standards by attending, which is often how I feel at singles events.”

Coming from Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan or somewhere else? We now have a way to get a ride.

When you sign up, we will send you a spreadsheet so you can see who is coming from other areas and catch a ride with them.
