A Deeper Dive into Death: Caring for the dying.

For individuals interested in learning the ins and outs of death care on a professional or personal level, “A Deeper Dive into Death” workshop offers a hands-on, experience based teaching on the end-of-life journey, diagnosis through disposition. Join Death Doula L.A., Jill Schock, and other experienced professionals at the tranquil and healing grounds of the Sierra Hot Springs in Sierraville, California October 18-20th 2019.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

You are responsible for your transportation to and from the event. If you are staying at the Historic Globe Hotel there is a parking lot available behind the building. If you are camping, you can park your car at your camping spot. Click link for more details about directions: http://www.sierrahotsprings.org/directions/

What are the lodging options?

In the ticketing section, you can choose to purchase a Globe Hotel Guest Ticket or a Camper ticket. There are 10 single rooms available, as well as 2 shared rooms. If you are interested in sharing a room, both parties should contact Megan Carmichael (megan@805funerals.com) to make arrangements ASAP.

The cost for lodging for 2 nights: Single occupancy at the Globe Hotel ($210), double occupancy* at the Globe Hotel ($295 or $315 per pair). Camping is free. These costs are reflected in the ticket prices.

ADA rooms are available, please advise if needed.

What can I bring into the event?

Tickets are not transferable

Is clothing optional?

In the hot springs clothing is optional and nudity is common. However, everyone is encouraged to do what they are most comfortable with. This event values personal sanctuary and respect for the human body.

Are scholarships available?

There are a limited number of partial scholarships available. Email jillschock@deathdoulala.com for inquiries. A portion of proceeds will go toward supporting the greater death care community and ensuring open accessibility to future events.
