MoKAN Blues AANN Chapter is proud to present A Day of Neuroantamy with Linda Littlejohns and DaiWai Olson - leaders in the Neuroscience Nursing community and co-authors of the AANN Core Curriculum for Neuroscience Nurse. It is an honor to have Linda and DaiWai provide this program.
This novel anatomy and assessment program will cover an approach to patient care that is engaging and interactive. Linda and DaiWai will be side-by-side challenging each other, and you, to explore different ways to learn and apply the knowledge in your practice. 3D Anatomage software will bring the brain to life. There will be audience participation (out of your seats), drawing and coloring and interactive case presentations using Kaboom.
The course will cover the brain, brainstem, cerebellum, pathways, CSF and blood supply in Stroke, TBI, Epilepsy and Degenerative problems in neuro patients. *6.5 CEs
A coloring book and crayons will be supplied. Bring your collored pencils and pens if you prefer.
Linda Littlejohns, MSN, RN, CNRN, SCRN, FAAN
Ms Littlejohns is the co-editor of the AANN Core Curriculum for Neuroscience Nurses and has numerous published text books, chapters, and peer reviewed articles. She has presented topics related to neuro patient care and leadership across the globe for 30 years and developed educational DVDs for Anatomy, Assessment,
Spinal Cord Injury and Stroke.
DaiWai Olson, PhD, RN, CCRN, FNCS
Dr. Olson is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He is the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing and co-editor for the AANN Core Curriculum. He is internationally recognized for his work in nursing research and is the co-chair of the Neurocritical Care Society Research Committee. As an invited lecturer or visiting professor, he has presented 40 states, 7 countries and 4 continents. Dr. Olson maintains his clinical practice by working as a staff nurse in the Neuro ICU.
