Event description
Celebrate Kosovo and Albania as we raise money for scholarships, drink wine and sample regional cuisine, and bid on unique global items.

About this Event

Please join American Councils, our outstanding alumni, and various dignitaries and government officials at the 9th annual Silent Auction in Washington, DC.

This year, we are highlighting our work in Kosovo and Albania while raising scholarship funds for emerging leaders from both countries.

The evening will feature:

  • A musical performance
  • Wine from a vineyard in Kosovo, beer, and soft drinks
  • Regional hors d'oeuvres, including kebabs and byrek
  • Raffles and special giveaways

During the Silent Auction, bid on items like a two-night getaway at a private mountain villa in Kosovo, round-trip tickets to Europe, a personal tour of the United Nations in NYC, Washington Redskins tickets, local services, and other unique items from around the globe.

------------------------------

We welcome all of our guests to wear traditional regional dress or festive attire! There are two types of tickets available: VIP access and general admission.

General admission: Wine, beer, and soft drinks, plus regional hors d'oeuvres are included in the ticket price. Doors open at 6:30PM.

VIP access: Wine, beer, and soft drinks are included as well as a special wine tasting from Kosovo's Stone Castle Winery and Vineyard. Regional hors d'oeuvres, a traditional Albanian folk performance by Epos' Dance Ensemble, and early auction items are also included. Doors open at 5PM.

------------------------------

Event proceeds, partners, and sponsors will help fellows with covering tuition cost, academic fees, health insurance, airfare, visas, books, room and board and monthly stipends during their two-year academic programs.

This year's event benefits the Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF) and the newly launched Master’s and Internship Program (MIP), which provide merit-based graduate fellowships to deserving Kosovars and Albanians, respectively, for two years of study and training in the United States.

Program alumni now hold ambassador and minister level positions, senior posts at the World Bank and leading private businesses, and awards from internationally recognized organizations, including the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
