Event description
Celebrate Kosovo and Albania as we raise money for scholarships, drink wine and sample regional cuisine, and bid on unique global items.

About this Event

In October, we will welcome 200+ guests for our 9th annual Silent Auction in Washington, DC. Our annual event highlights unique regions of the world where we work while raising money for scholarships. This year, we invite you to learn more about our work in Kosovo and Albania, while supporting and promoting scholarships for emerging leaders of both countries.

The Kosovo American Education Fund (KAEF) and the Master’s and Internship Program (MIP) extend merit-based graduate fellowships to deserving Kosovars and Albanians, respectively, to study and train in the US for two years.

Alumni of these outstanding programs include an ambassador, Kosovo’s current Minister of Economic Development, a BAFTA-award winning film producer, the Albanian Deputy Minister of Culture, analysts for the World Bank and USAID, and other professionals committed to furthering social and economic prosperity in Kosovo and Albania.

------------------------------

We welcome all of our guests to wear traditional regional dress or festive attire! There are two types of tickets available: VIP access and general admission.

General admission: Wine, beer, and soft drinks, plus regional hors d'oeuvres are included.

VIP access: Wine, beer, and soft drinks are included as well as a special wine tasting. Regional hors d'oeuvres, a special cultural performance, and early auction items are also included.

------------------------------

The Silent Auction will include:

  • Unique items from around the globe

  • Local goods and services
  • And more!

Event proceeds, partners, and sponsors will help fellows with covering tuition cost, academic fees, health insurance, airfare, visas, books, room and board and monthly stipends during their two-year academic programs.
