About Ty Stiklorius

Ty Stiklorius is the Founder and CEO of Friends At Work, an innovative artist management, entertainment and social impact company based in Los Angeles. She has spent her career helping creative vision thrive. In 2012, she formed a partnership with Troy Carter and was Co-President of Atom Factory for three years until she launched her own company in October 2015. Stiklorius manages John Legend, violinist Lindsey Stirling, prosecutor Adam Foss, hip-hop comedians ItsTheReal and others.

Along with John Legend and Mike Jackson, Stiklorius also serves as one of the principals in Get Lifted Film Co., a film and television production company based in Los Angeles. Get Lifted Film Co. has sold several projects in television to networks including Showtime, NBC, HBO, USA, MTV, OWN and FOX. Get Lifted Film Co. has Executive Produced the HBO documentary “Southern Rites,” Pop Network docu-series “Sing it On”, and WGN's "Underground." Additionally, Get Lifted Film Co. has several projects in various stages of development including The Black Count (2014 Pulitzer Prize Winner), set to be directed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) for Sony Pictures.

Stiklorius’ work with John Legend began with the formation of JL Ventures (JLV) in 2006. JLV focused on brand strategy, technology, business development and social impact that built from and enhanced John Legend’s unique musical vision, business background and desire to do good in the world. Together they launched The Show Me Campaign with a mission to break the cycle of poverty by giving every child access to a quality education. In 2015, Stiklorius and Legend initiated the #FREEAMERICA campaign to change the national conversation about our country’s misguided incarceration policies and to make a change in the United States’ criminal justice system by ending mass incarceration.

Stiklorius earned an MBA from The Wharton School of Business as well as a BA from The University of Pennsylvania. She is on the board of LRNG (http://www.LRNG.org), a social enterprise that works collaboratively with schools, businesses, cities, and community institutions, such as libraries and museums, to redesign learning for the 21st century so all youth have the opportunity to succeed. Stiklorius is also on the board of Americans For The Arts, the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. She currently resides in Venice, CA with her husband and two children.
