Description

A Conversation With 2 Vets Upstate: Telling the Story of New York’s Veterans

New York State is home to the nation's fifth-largest veteran population and has a landscape as diverse as the people that live here. Nearly 800,000 veterans call the Empire State home, but more than two-thirds of them live outside of New York City, where the majority of resources are concentrated.

Please join NYSHealth for a conversation with Andrea Goldstein and Roger Misso, two Navy veterans from New York and hosts of the 2 Vets Upstate podcast, for a discussion about the issues that upstate veterans face, resources available to them, and how we can better serve the needs of this community.

The creators of the podcast believe that every veteran, regardless of who they are or where they live, has a story to tell. Started in May 2018 with more than a dozen episodes broadcasted, 2 Vets Upstate serves as a platform to tell those stories, celebrate service, and connect veterans with resources so that they can thrive.

Please R.S.V.P. by January 4, 2019. Lunch will be provided.

Can’t join us in person? This event will be live-streamed on Facebook and will also be recorded as an episode of the 2 Vets Upstate podcast.
