A Conversation About Race With Dr. Beverly D. Tatum – This Understanding Hampton Roads forum is sponsored by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation in partnership with Virginia Humanities.

The community event at the Chesapeake Conference Center in Chesapeake, Virginia will feature Dr. Beverly Tatum, a psychologist and author of Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race. She is the former president of Spelman College in Atlanta. She will have a conversation with April Woodard, a TV personality and host of Coast LIve on WTKR, and lead a public conversation about race in Hampton Roads. After the program, she will sign copies of her book, which will be available for sale at the event.

Admission is free, but advance registration is required.
