Start the new semester on the right foot with this interactive workshop on how to manage your money while at Barnard. From student loans to credit cards to budgeting wisely, this is a great opportunity to ensure you make smart decisions when it comes to saving and spending your hard-earned cash.

Instructor: Christine Valenza Shin '84

Christine Valenza Shin '84 is the Senior Associate Director of Advising & Programs at Beyond Barnard, overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Beyond Barnard programs including mentoring, career insight panels, workshops, and other programs. She works with her fellow advisers to implement best practices for career advising that address the needs of Barnard's diverse student and alumnae body, while keeping current with the changing world of work in the 21st century. Christine was formerly the Associate Director of the Athena Leadership Lab at Barnard, and before that the Program Director of Barnard's Financial Fluency Program for alumnae. Earlier in her career she was a teacher and teacher educator. At Barnard, she majored in history and minored in education.


This workshop is part of our fall 2019 series on financial fluency.
