Description
Developers rejoice! For the end of managing databases is nigh. You are cordially invited to join us in a celebration of the life - and the imminent death - of databases as you know them.
A wake and celebratory service will be held in the Ceili Ballroom at Kells Irish Restaurant on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Led by Antony Falco, CEO of Orchestrate.io, and Adam DuVander, Developer Communications Director at SendGrid, we'll reflect on the life of infrastructure and databases as we once knew them, and raise our glasses to a future without them.
As a developer, you want to create great applications - not manage databases. Like SendGrid did for email, Orchestrate is doing for databases... a single interface, run as a service, that solves a complex problem. All attendees will receive exclusive, early access to the Orchestrate.io API, which is currently in closed beta.
Libations and appetizers will be provided, with Interment to follow.

"Databases. We remember them. At the rising of the sun and at its going down, we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and the chill of winter, we remember them. At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them.
Yet we rejoice, for they are not gone, but now forever guide us from the Cloud, and speak to us through angels in the form of APIs.”
