Event description

Description

In an academic community, our lives can be filled with lectures by experts. But how about conversations, talking together about difficult things like vulnerability and suffering? This four-part series of talks is meant to be a gathering where we can share experiences with vulnerability and suffering, learning and presence, in a public but informal way.

Rev. Greene is head priest of the Spring Green Zen Dojo, as well as a hospital chaplain and medical educator.

Apr 5th Topic: How do we use emotions and our senses to help others?
We are part of a university community, a place where reason, intellect, and analysis are prized as tools of problem-solving. But what do we do in the face of problems where such habits of the mind don’t seem to hold enough power?
