A BreastfeedLA Webinar: What Can I Do? Thoughts on Scopes of Practice in Lactation

Have you ever wondered exactly how lactation support providers are qualified, certified, or trained to help breastfeeding mothers?  Have you questioned how your own certification fits into the picture of breastfeeding supporters?  Do you have questions about how best to utilize the members of your lactation staff for optimal maternal/infant care?

Please join us for a live webinar on Tuesday, Dec 6, 2016 from 10a.m. to 11:00a.m. (Pacific)  with Live Question and Answer Session from 11-11:30 a.m. to explore the definition of the term "scope of practice" and its applicability to the lactation support field.

Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

- define the term "scope of practice" as it applies to the lactation support provider

- identify 3 major certifying and accreditation organizations in the lactation field

- identify 3 scenarios in which a differing scope of practice would affect the type of lactation care provided

This webinar is approved for 1 E-CERP and 1 CEU.
