Learn about the remarkable varieties of beans available, how to cook them, and how to incorporate them into delicious, healthful dishes for home and sharing.

We hear about the many health benefits of eating beans (they’re a “green” protein, they provide high fiber, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and more). Maybe you’ve wondered if you should eat more beans, or how to incorporate them into your regular diet. The best reason to eat beans, however, is that they can taste absolutely amazing! Canned beans are convenient and efficient; even better, dried beans are super easy to cook and will be your secret weapon for a week’s worth of delicious lunches and dinners.

In this class you’ll learn where to find the best-quality dried beans, how to store and work with them, what variety of bean to use when and in which dish, and plenty of tips and tricks as we prep and cook beans on the stove and in an Instant Pot pressure cooker. We will create and enjoy a selection of mouthwatering dishes featuring a variety of sustainable and remarkably tasty heirloom beans.
