Join U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor (ret.) for a lively discussion about her new book, “Out of Order: Stories from the History of the Supreme Court” (Random House, March 2013). With unparalleled insight and her unique perspective as a history-making figure, Justice O’Connor uses her trademark candor, wisdom and humor to shed light on the people and transformations that took the nation from John Jay to John Roberts, from an erratic young court to the incredible institution that endures today.
A Q-and-A session will conclude the program in the Great Hall, and a reception and book-signing, hosted by Changing Hands Bookstore, will follow in the Steptoe & Johnson Rotunda.
This lecture is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.
**Important Parking Information: Three visitor's parking lots are available for this event. The first one is the Rural Road Visitor's Pay Lot, which will have spots available for this lecture. The lot is located at the southwest corner of Rural and Terrace (YOU MUST ENTER TERRACE FROM RURAL ROAD). ($2/hour; $8/max.) If the lot says, "lot full, reservations only", please proceed to the attendant and let them know you are there for the O'Connor Book Signing. The second lot is located at Apache and Normal, entrance to the visitor's lot is on Lemon. A third lot, which is a pay-by-the space lot is Lot 44, which is located on the east side of McAllister, north of Lemon St, access off Lemon St.)
