Veterans Plus Film Screening with Q&A

Veterans and their guests are specially invited to a free screening of A Bond Unbroken The event will include a post-film discussion and Q&A.

This program is free and open to the public with advance registration.

A Bond Unbroken

After 45 years, the U.S. Navy SEALs finally rediscover their combat interpreter, fulfilling their creed to "leave no one behind."

This reunion has been 40 years in the making. After decades of wondering what became of their combat interpreter, a group of U.S. Navy SEALs attempt to find Nguyen Hoang Minh who was left behind in the aftermath of the Vietnam War.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers, Navy SEALs featured in the film and advocates for wartime allies. More information coming soon!

Rick Woolard - Captain Richard Trusty Patrick Woolard (SEAL ret.) is former SEAL Team SIX Commander. Two deployments to Vietnam, led 3rd Platoon on over 100 combat missions. Served as an Exchange Officer with the British Royal Marines Special Boat Service. As Commander of ST-2 and ST-6 Rick initiated development of the Combat Swimmer, Sniper, and Winter/Mountain Warfare, still key SEAL capabilities today. Commanded anti-terrorist Naval Security Coordination Team (“Red Cell”.) Director for Combating Terrorism, Office of the Ass’t Secretary of Defense for Special Operations. Recipient of the Silver Star, Bronze star with Combat Device, Purple Heart, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit. President of the Special Operations Fund, assisting widows and children of men killed while serving in national special mission units.

Robert (Pete) Peterson - Captain Robert (Pete) Peterson (SEAL ret.) is a SEAL Team TWO Plank Owner, one of the pioneers in development of Naval Special Warfare operational concepts. Sent to Vietnam with Special Operations Group (1964-65). Spent two years aboard USS Leahy, then Pete returned to Vietnam as Platoon Commander, one of the first Officers responsible for establishing SEAL combat tactics, leading the 7th Platoon on more than 100 combat missions. Recipient of the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Bronze Star with combat V, and The Presidential Unit Citation. His 30-year-career includes serving as the United States Naval Attaché in India, Israel and Chile.

Rick Kaiser - Master Chief Rick Kaiser (SEAL ret.) is Executive Director of the National Navy SEAL Museum. Over a 34-year-career, Rick served at SEAL Team TWO and SEAL Team SIX specializing in winter warfare, combat diving, and as a SEAL sniper. Recipient of the Silver Star with combat V during the Battle of Mogadishu (Black Hawk Down.) While at ST-6, Rick served as sniper, explosives expert, lead training Chief, sniper team leader, and Deputy Operations Officer.

Matt Zeller is the Co-Founder of No One Left Behind, a Truman National Security Fellow and an adjunct fellow at the American Security Project. He is also the author of Watches Without Time (Just World Books, 2012), which chronicles his experience serving as an embedded combat adviser with the Afghan security forces in Ghazni, Afghanistan, in 2008. Captain Zeller currently serves in the United States Army Reserve. He earned a BA in Government from Hamilton College and a MPA and a MA-IR from The Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
