Event description
Writer, director, and comedian, David Gilna performs his play "A Bolt from D'Blue"—how humor saved my life after being struck by lightning.

About this Event

'I'm touring America in 2020 with my debut comedy show 'A Bolt From D'Blue' kicking off in The Kansas City Irish Arts Center, Missouri on Thursday March 26, 2020. My dream is finally becoming a reality.’

The show is about 'how humor saved my life after being struck by lightning.'

Doors open at 7pm. Show at 8pm.

When this view is shocked out of existence our very sense of selves becomes confused and mired with 'what if' questions such as 'I am the same person, if not who am I now?' and 'why did this happen to me' can transform the person forever. David has been exploring those questions since but always with a sense of humor.

A Bolt From D’Blue is currently being adapted into a feature film by playwright & screenwriter Frank Allen (Twelve Days of May) & David Gilna.
