It has been a rough year for Lagoon Merritt. Everyone wonders, how are the birds doing? Join us as Hilary Powers, volunteer with Golden Gate Audubon, takes us to some of her favorite birding spots. As Hilary says, Lake Merritt always has something new and strange to offer, so every day at Lake Merritt is a good day to be there – even virtually. Hilary will share details on the species and ecological community at the nation’s first wildlife sanctuary, tidbits she has gleaned in a decade and a half of leading 4th-Wednesday bird walks and many more years of private visits to the lake. Hilary's quick eye and entertaining explanations will delight beginners and advanced birders alike. Her passion for the birds opens up new opportunities to connect with nature and engage in minds-on outdoor recreation.

A Zoom link will be included in your Eventbrite ticket confirmation.
