A one hour workshop designed to help you learn how to breathe in a way that is best for your body.

Your breath shall set you free…

The details:

The workshop will last one hour with about 15 minutes before and after to introduce you to yours hosts and reflect on how great you feel. Please do not plan on attending if you will arrive late or have to leave early, as this will disrupt others in attendance.

Please bring a yoga mat or something comfy to lay on, along with a small pillow and blanket if you might want those for your comfort. We also have chairs available.

Wear comfortable clothes. Don't forget socks if your feet get cold.

Try not to eat a large meal beforehand. A light snack no less than one hour before the workshop is ideal.

Please do not wear heavy perfume or cologne.

Why Breathing?

This is more than just a breathing workshop. This is a profound way to tap into a new side of you and heal from the inside out.

Ideal breathing rate is about 3-4 breaths per minute. On average, people breathe 10+ breaths per minute. Very sick or highly stressed people breathe over 20+ breaths per minute!

Slowing down your breathing rate can help:

  • protect against disease
  • balance your emotions
  • reduce back pain
  • ease digestive reflux and bloating
  • have a healing calming effect

When you are overly emotionally stressed, even just from the burdens of everyday living, your body switches on the SAME physiological response as when you are under INTENSE physical stress i.e. a very strenuous workout. That's right! You are basically doing emotional push-ups. Your oxygen demand goes up and you breathe faster and more shallow, even though you do not need to consume as much oxygen as if doing exercise.

If you imagine you have a fire in your body, just like a normal fire, oxygen is needed for it to burn. However, too much oxygen causes the fire to burn too bright, causing oxidative damage to your cells and inflammation. Too little oxygen causes the fire to not burn at all, and no energy is created. Your body requires just the right amount of oxygen. Oxygen control through better breathing is necessary to prevent oxidative stress in the body.

The goal of Soma Breath is to optimize the way your body functions by utilizing oxygen in the best way possible. Becoming highly efficient at using oxygen means you become highly efficient at creating energy and therefore you become healthier, stronger and happier as a result.

Breathwork also has the power to peel back the many layers of your psyche, revealing your subconscious meta-programming. These are hardwired beliefs, habits and imprints that have shaped your future and world view since birth. Through special breathing exercises combined with meditation, you can reimprint the subconscious operating system (your brain) with a new more empowered set of habits and beliefs that will lead to your eventual liberation and un-robotization. This can lead to feelings of pure joy!

About Your Guide

My name is Lauren Bentley and I am the founder of Good Vibrations.

I am a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Breathwork Coach, Reiki Master, Meditation and EFT Tapping Instructor and a Sound Healer.

To wrap it all up I am a Holistic Life Coach and Energy Healer.

I began my journey in the health industry in 2014 as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. In the corporate gyms I realized the connection that was completely missing in the body, mind and soul integration- a crucial part of living a happy, healthy and abundant lifestyle. Seeing an opportunity to truly make a difference, I left the gym and opened my own practice.

​Ever since I can remember I have had a deep desire to create massive, positive impact on our beautiful planet.

When I began my journey in the professional world I didn't know exactly where it would lead me- I just continued to follow the niggles. But what I did find was the human desire to change and expand but with no idea how to release the key component- the past. When you fully release your past you call all your power back, and find freedom.
