Event description

Description

Larry Elliott, Economics Editor of the Guardian, will talk about the 33 Theses for an Economic Reformation that were “nailed” to the door of the London School of Economics in December last year. These argued that mainstream economics is doing much less than it could to provide insights that would help solve the problems of poverty, inequality, the ecological crisis and financial instability. In particular he will give us his insights into the issue of inequality, what might be done to make the UK a more equal country and what are the realistic prospects of achieving such a reduction.

This is My Fair London's first public meeting of 2018. Larry will talk for about 40 minutes and we'll have plenty of time for questions and open debate. Come along and get involved.

This event is jointly hosted with The Equality Trust, and we'll offer refreshments at the end of the evening. Please book a ticket to reserve your place now. The venue has limited capacity and we expect this session to be very popular. As usual for My Fair London the event is free, but we will be asking people on the night to make a cash contribution towards the cost of hring the venue.
