An evening featuring a rare behind the scenes look at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a writer who worked at the museum for 25 years.

About this Event

Have you ever wanted to take a peek into the Metropolitan Museum of Art and understand what goes on behind the scenes? December 2nd, we will be in conversation with Christine Coulson, who spent 20 years at the Museum.  She wrote a book, showing the reader the Met the public doesn't see.

December 2nd, we will be in conversation with Christine Coulson to learn what is hidden behind the Picassos and Vermeers, the Temple of Dendur and the American Wing—along with a few ghosts!

About Christine Coulson www.christinecoulson.com

Christine Coulson began her career at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1991 as a summer intern in the European Paintings Department. She returned in 1994 and, over the next 25 years, rose through the ranks of the Museum, working in the Development Office, the Director’s Office, and the Department of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts.

In 2017, she wrote her first novel, Metropolitan Stories, showing the reader the Met the public doesn't see.
