Join Rabbi Chase to learn about the ancient Babylonian Talmud (a central text of Rabbinic Judaism).

About this event

When people have a question, they may learn from many sources. If you’re curious about Jewish texts, explore the ancient Babylonian Talmud (a central text of Rabbinic Judaism) with Rabbi Chase at his next free virtual learning class.

Rabbi Chase will explain meaning in supernatural stories and seemingly mundane meanderings, among other learnings. After the class with other young professionals from Greater Cleveland, Ohio, you will better understand Jewish history, Jewish thinking, and how Jewish life builds on the wisdom of texts written 1.5 millennia ago. Before the class, we will send you a Zoom link.

This event is part of an ongoing learning series which delves into different parts of the Talmud at each class.

If you have questions, please reach out to Rabbi Chase at cfoster@jecc.org.
