A 3D Day in The Field
Mark your calendar for the point3D and LFM Software 3D Day in the Field open house event. The 3D Day in the Field event is open to all interested parties and will be hosted February 4th, 2016 at the Eaton's Houston Experience Center. Doors open at 8:30 and the event will run from 9 am to 1 pm.
The event is intended to provide interested participants with the experience of using 3D capture devices in a real world setting. Users will be able to try out laser scanning and 3D imaging systems from DotProduct, FARO, Leica, NCTech, RIEGL, Z+F and others in the center’s mock petrochemical refinery and power substation. Along with capturing 3D data, participants will be able to experience the whole work process from capture to LFM Server database manipulation. Previously captured data from Eaton published in NetView 4 will be available for user experience.
The 3D Day in the Field event, which caps a week of LFM activities, will begin with vendor presentations at 9 am. This will be followed by user experience opportunity in the centers mock industrial site. Users will be able to try out the latest scanner technology from DotProduct, Faro and Z+F, and the NCTech iSTAR image capture device. The event will finish with a buffet lunch at noon.
