NH Children’s Trust is pleased to present our 2021 Strengthening Families Summit, based on the Strengthening Families Framework.
About this event
This year the 9th Annual Strengthening Families Summit will convene parent leaders and professionals from across the Granite State and beyond to highlight the work of parent leaders and the agencies that support them, and explore the important role that parent voice plays in creating strong families and supportive communities.
Based on the Strengthening Families Framework, we turn our focus to the very heart of the Framework: Parents as experts of their own experience using their voices to advocate for their families, improve their communities, and build more family-centered systems through policy change.
Keynote Speaker: Robin Higa, Founder & Executive Director of Community Café Collaborative. Robin Higa has been a parent leader activist, working with diverse family leaders for over 30 years. She is the founder of the Community Café approach and the Executive Director of the Community Café Collaborative. Their work in developing authentic partnerships with families to strengthen families and build supportive communities has been recognized locally and nationally.
Partnering with Family Leaders: A Relationship Building Continuum. This keynote will address why supporting parent leadership is key to all work with families that values inclusion, equity, and respect.
We will be pursuing CEUs for this event including Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the National Association of Social Workers, NH Chapter. After the event, you will receive a survey that will include details concerning approved CEUs and professional development and/or contact hours. You must complete the survey to receive CEUs and a certificate of attendance that will cite the hours of instruction.
