Additional tasting tickets are available for purchase at the event! Wine is available and sold by the taste, the glass, the bottle - and the case!)

And, have we got food! FRESH LOBSTER is flown in live from the coast and prepared right there on the spot by Ottawa's Noon Rotary. It's simply delish! Other food also available from Ottawa's own Cheese Shop'n Deli - but PRE ORDER and buy your lobster dinner tickets HERE to make sure you get one of those big boys! Only a limited supply of extra lobster will be available at the event.

And then there's the MUSIC! Bring a chair or blanket and grab your wine, your glass and some yum yums (that you buy at the fest!) and get set up on the lawn to enjoy some really great LIVE JAZZ music ~ starting Friday at 5!

OH - and shop for treasures at the Outdoor Market on Court Street - right next to the fest on Saturday and Sunday!

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

If you have questions about the fest – JUST ASK!! Send them to: info@ottawa2riverswinefest.com. We will answer your questions ASAP. Cheers!

A. How many tasting tickets do I get with my original WINE ticket purchase?

Q. If you buy online - you get 8 tasting tickets (only 6 tastings if you buy at the door) These tasting tickets are good for for wine and beer! (More tastings tickets are sold under the big tent!) Plus you can buy wine and beer by the glass - and wine by the bottle!

A. Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Q. You must 21 years of age to enter the Wine and Beer tasting area of the event (the big tent!)

Q. What is the address of the event and is their parking?

A. Plug this in to your GPS and you'll be here in no time! 101 W. Main Street Ottawa, IL 61350

For driving parking and shuttle information click here

Q. Can I get more tasting tickets?

A. Absolutely! Additional tasting tickets are sold under the big tent.

Q. Is there an ATM machine nearby?

A. You know it! Cash is King so we will have a machine ready for you on the festival grounds.

Q. Will the wineries accept credit cards?

A. Some wineries may be equipped to accept credit cards. But, we will have an ATM machine nearby, just in case!

Q. What if I lose my wine glass or forget to bring it back the next day?

A. We’ll get you another – no problem! BUT, it’s gonna cost you $5. So keep an eye on your glass!

Q. May we bring wine onto the jazz lawn?

A. If you buy it from one of our wineries – Absolutely! And you’re gonna love it. But do not leave the festival grounds with your glass of wine or craft beer. No open alcohol may leave the festival grounds. You may purchase your favorite wine by the bottle or case to take home!

Q. I’d like to bring a large umbrella for shade. Is that OK?

A. Many tables with umbrellas are provided and situated along the outside perimeter of the festival lawn as to not obstruct the view. If you must have your own private shade we encourage you to find a spot along the outside of the lawn area as well. Anyone blocking another guest’s view with a large umbrella will be politely asked to relocate their shady seat.

Q. We are bringing a designated driver. Is he allowed under the tent even if he doesn’t drink?

A. First of all – THANK YOU for being responsible! And, as long as your designated driver is 21 years old they may be under the tent. All IDs will be checked and hands will be stamped and wristband will be applied. This proves they were checked. Ticket holders will then proceed to the will-call area to get their wine glass and tasting tickets.

Q. Do I need separate tickets for the wine and the lobster?

A. Yes. You need separate tickets for the wine and lobster. Wine tickets are good for all weekend and a Lobster ticket is good for one dinner. If you plan on attending all 3 days - get yourself 3 lobster dinner tickets! You'll be glad you did. Yum.

Q. Are there any non-alcoholic beverages sold at the festival?

A. Of course! Ottawa's Noon Rotary (who cooks and serves the lobster) also has soda. The Cheese Shop ‘n Deli next to the lobster tent has very large and refreshing, fresh lemonade and iced tea, bottled water and soda.

Q. Could we bring a picnic basket with food and wine?

A. DO NOT BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES. You may bring a picnic basket of course with accessories that make your area special (blanket, tablecloth, etc.) but no outside food or beverages, please. All our vendors including the wineries, the Rotarians who provide cook and and serve the lobster, and Ottawa’s own Cheese Shop n Deli, the breweries and more...ALL work VERY hard to help make this a first-class event. We prohibit any outside food and beverages entering the festival site. Please support the fest!

Q. Is Wine Fest a kid-friendly event?

A. As much as we love children (and puppies!) – we do not encourage little ones (nor strollers) especially in the tented area because of safety issues and the volume of people.

Q. Are dogs allowed at the Wine fest?

A. We love dogs - but they are NOT allowed at Wine Fest, or on festival grounds.

Q: What about smoking? Am I allowed?

A: There is no smoking on festival grounds. A designated smoking area south of the portable restroom facility will be provided.

Q. What can/can't I bring to the event?

A. You can bring your friends! You can bring a blanket and/or a chair for the lawn. Tables are provided with unbrellas. You can NOT bring in a cooler or picnic basket with outside food, wine or beer - or any other refreshments! Please support our hardworking and talented vendors that make this event a success! The fest has plenty of food and beverage options!

Q. Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

A. Your ticket is non-transerable, and non-refundable. All sales are final.
