9th Annual Health & Wellness Back 2 School Festival (Hybrid Event)

The 2021 school year is about to be underway, and we want to delight DC Metro Area students with tools and resources to inspire learning! We invite you to join the Greater Washington Urban League for its 9th Annual Health & Wellness Back 2 School Festival on August 28th.

We aim to aid school readiness as you navigate the Back 2 School Season! Key activities will be conducted in person at the League’s headquarters while other rich resources will be shared virtually via our website. We will be distributing backpacks filled with school supplies, healthy snacks, fidget toys and more. Free COVID vaccinations will be offered.

Parents, guardians, and children can take advantage of kid-friendly virtual emotional wellness, healthy cooking and craft demonstrations. Register for the event and answer a brief survey after exploring these online goodies to be entered into a drawing to win a Nintendo Switch, Stranger Things Lego Set, or a Melody American Girl Doll -- prizes valued at $125 to $300.

This is a free event that the entire family can enjoy! YOU MUST REGISTER on EVENTBRITE to reserve your backpack as supplies are not endless. Those registering will be guaranteed a package for each child attending the event in-person. Reservation of 300 backpacks is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please only register each child once, duplicate registrations will not be honored. Only 50 backpacks will be available for walk-ups. Pick-up information will be provided to you upon confirmation of your registration.
