Our goal is to make "Never Forget" an action statement.

Win a free registration to ACI-NA's Annual Conference - and Earn Awards.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS in AVIATION: we invite you to explore the lessons of courage, selflessness and resolve in the stories of 9/11 aviation heroes profiled in the book, "Reclaiming the Sky" by Tom Murphy. You will have a chance to discuss in an online workshop in August lessons you learn from the example of front line aviation employees in Boston, New York and Washington, DC on 9/11 and explore how you can apply them to enhance your resiliency strengths.

Participation is open to Young Professionals, those under 40, who work at Airports Council Intl - North America member airports and aviation service companies. Registration starts March 7 and culminates at the ACI-NA annual conference in late September. The first 25 Young Professionals to register will be offered a chance to participate. You'll have a chance to win cash awards, including a $1000 first place prize.

Participants will be invited to write a 500/700 word essay expressing how they can apply lessons to meet challenges in their lives, both professionally and personally. Winners will earn awards of $1000, $500 and $250 for first, second and third place.

Aviation leaders and subjects from the book will be the essay judges.

Winners will receive a free registration to attend to ACI-NA's annual conference in September in Long Beach, CA and receive their awards. They'll be recognized in front of current aviation leaders for their pro action, initiative - and support to keep the memory of 9/11 aviation heroes alive.

Again, participation is open to the first 25 who meet the qualifications (ie, under 40 and work for an airport/aviation service company member of ACI-NA.)

Register today, we welcome you to join in on this "pilot" offering. The goal is to make the program an annual project to help each new group of Young Professionals learn resiliency from the example of 9/11 aviation heroes.

This project is conducted by the Human Resiliency Institute at Fordham University, which also offers the Edge4Vets program to prepare and connect veterans to airport jobs.
