Description
We RUN to honor the heroes of 9/11.
We run to HONOR the service of those who’ve served our nation since.
We run to ACTIVATE COMMUNITIES and EMPOWER your local veterans, first responders and survivors.
RUN. VOLUNTEER. DONATE. CHEER...but most of all: HONOR
The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K & 1Mile fun run/walk* welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and of all ages. Events take place all over the world, on or near September 11th, and are 100% organized by local community volunteers. It is the perfect opportunity for your community to personally come out and thank your local first responders, military, and veterans in an annual, fun, and family friendly environment!
GIVE BACK
The San Diego race will donate locally to the Armed Services YMCA. Remaining proceeds will support Travis Manion Foundation Challenge Grants, which provide veterans and families of fallen service members support through service-based team building events that foster camaraderie and facilitate successful life transitions, and the Character Does Matter program.
