Event description

Description

The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual video contest in which kid filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery award-winning books in about 90 seconds.

For seven years we've screened the best kid-made movies annually in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and many other cities . . . including right here in Ogden!

Make your FREE reservation for the OGDEN screening of this year's 90-Second Newbery! The screening is hosted by children's authors James Kennedy (The Order of Odd-Fish) and Keir Graff (The Phantom Tower, The Matchstick Castle).

We'll be showing movies made by kids in Ogden and some of the best from around the country.

This year, the Ogden 90-Second Newbery will screen on Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 6:30-8 pm at the Treehouse Children's Museum. James and Keir's books will be available for sale, and you can hang out with the authors and filmmakers!

Tickets are free! However, we recommend reserving your seat in advance to ensure admittance. Although a reservation is recommended, you don't have to bring a printed ticket.

(Interested in making your own 90-Second Newbery movie? Great! You can find complete details, plus video resources, at the 90-Second Newbery website: http://www.90secondnewbery.com.)

We rely on your support to keep the 90-Second Newbery going! If you like what we do, please consider making a donation here.

Major support is provided by the Treehouse Children's Museum, Utah Humanities and Weber County Book Links.
