Description

The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual video contest in which kid filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery award-winning books in about 90 seconds.

For seven years we've screened the best kid-made movies annually in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and many other cities—including right here in Boston!

Make your FREE reservation for the BOSTON screening of this year's 90-Second Newbery! The screening is hosted by children's authors James Kennedy (The Order of Odd-Fish) and M.T. Anderson (Feed, The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge).

We'll be showing movies made by kids in the Boston area and some of the best from around the country.

This year, the Boston 90-Second Newbery will screen on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 2:30-4 pm at the main branch of the Boston Public Library. You can buy James's and M.T. Anderson's books, as well as many of the books the movies are based on, thanks to Trident Booksellers and Cafe.

Tickets are free! However, we recommend reserving your seat in advance to ensure admittance. Although a reservation is recommended, you don't have to bring a printed ticket.

(Interested in making your own 90-Second Newbery movie? You can find complete details, plus video resources, at the 90-Second Newbery website: http://www.90secondnewbery.com.)

We rely on your support to keep the 90-Second Newbery going! If you like what we do, please consider making a donation here.
