Castelfeder Pinot Grigio Alto Adige 2015- Light green lusters run through the radiant straw-yellow colour of this wine. Its aroma is rich in fruits, the most striking of which are pears and apples. An excellent balance gives this wine strength and structure. It is dry and smooth on the palate with a pleasant, mineral aftertaste. Pinot Grigio goes well with many dishes, especially lighter foods, fried mushrooms and fresh water fish.
Bodegas Shaya, Verdejo "Shaya" Rueda 2014- Juicy and seamless on the palate, offering round orchard and pit fruit flavors and bracing notes of bitter quinine and white pepper. Blends richness and energy smoothly and finishes with very good clarity and floral persistence.
Tenuta di Arceno, Tuscany "Il Fauno di Arcanum" 2012- Floral aromas of fresh cut roses, and beautifully ripe strawberries. On the palate soft, velvety, structured tannins make way for rich plum and candied cherries with nutmeg and black licorice undertones.
Bodegas Franco-Espanolas, Rioja, "Rioja Bordon" Reserva 2009- Light, fresh and focused, this traditional red offers harmonious flavors of dried cherry, tea, licorice and spice. Well-focused, with modest structure and good balance. Not muscular, but shows intensity and length.
Bodega Catena Zapata Malbec, "Catena Malbec", Mendoza 2013- Palate has lively acidity that makes it extremely fresh, long, pleasant and easy to dink, and it cleanses your palate with the mineral-driven finish. A textbook Malbec to buy by the case.
Bonny Doon Vineyard, Syrah, "Le Pousseur" Central Coast, 2012- Grapes from each vineyard were hand harvested, sorted, and fermented individually. The result is an elegant blend of concentrated black fruits, spice, and earth.
