Accommodation

There are several hotels in Nijmegen, which partners can find and book through websites as booking.com. It is important to book hotel rooms on short notice, as EcoProcura, a big international event on sustainable procurement is taking place at the same time in Nijmegen. Do not wait too long with booking.

Hotel suggestions:
An ideal hotel is the Mercure Hotel at Stationsplein. That is situated next to our central station, and it is a 15 minute walk to the venue. Or people can take the bus, if they want to. Or take a bike (most hotels rent bikes).

Another big and comfortable hotel is the Van der Valk Hotel, at the Hertog Eduardplein in Nijmegen North. That hotel is next to station Nijmegen Lent. There is a fast bus-connection between this station and the venue, it is also very easy to bike, but a little bit too far to walk.

Smaller, but very nice hotels in the city centre are e.g. Credible, Prikkels and other hotels. There are quite a few hotels for each budget.

Travel arrangements

The most sustainable means of transport is the train. From Brussels you can reach Nijmegen with only one transfer in Breda. From Germany you can take the ICE to Arnhem and take the train to Nijmegen from there.

If you take a plane, you can choose between several airports. Our national airport is Schiphol / Amsterdam, but also the regional airports of Eindhoven and Weeze (in Germany, close to the border) offer many flights from and to European destinations. Schiphol (Amsterdam Airport), Eindhoven Airport and Airport Weeze are only a 60-minute drive away. By train Schiphol is around 90-minutes with one or no stops to change trains. From Eindhoven Airport to Nijmegen the train ride is around 80-minutes with one bus ride to the station and two stops to change trains. The public transport between Weeze and Nijmegen is bad, but there is an airport-shuttle between the airport and Nijmegen. You have to make a reservation in advance.

Train Connections

All regions and cities in the Netherlands are well connected by trains. When looking for a train connection to Arnhem, Nijmegen or any other place, just look at the schedules on the train monitors at train stations or on ns.nl. The employees of NS (the national train company) are also more than happy to help you if you have any questions – there are info desks in all train stations to assist you.
