About the Conference:

You are invited to officially register and attend the 8th International Conference on Sustainable Transportation that will be held on June 26th - 28th, 2023 at AVANI Victoria Falls Resorts, Livingstone, Zambia.

The conference will focus on how to optimally engage over 200 delegates and all stakeholders involved in the transport sector from America, African Countries, Australia, Asia, and Europe to provide “smart innovations for solving critical infrastructure challenges”. Covering research findings, best practices, case studies, problem-solving, involving countries from all over Africa and beyond, America, Europe, and Asia.

Thematic areas such as Multimodal transport, road, rail, and airport, effective maintenance, pavement management systems, data monitoring, performance assessment, life-cycle cost analysis, road safety, risk management, low-volume roads, innovative design, construction materials, smart cities, intelligent transport systems, transport services, capacity building, road agency governance, PPP/ funding mechanism.

About the Organizers:

The African American Transportation Professional Networking Group (ATNG) with America, Botswana, and Nigeria as the Regional Centres and International Secretariat is made up of professionals and stakeholders from the government, academic, industry, and transport sectors with a commitment to proffer solutions to critical challenges facing transportation in Africa. In collaboration with Transport Stakeholders, Universities, and Transport Professionals in Africa, the Group has been organizing annual International Transportation Conferences in African countries and America. The 1st and 2nd editions were held in Botswana (2014 and 2015) and the 3rd edition was in Ghana (2016). The 4th edition of the International Conference on Transportation in Africa (ICTA 2017) took place from 18th to 20th October 2017 at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria while the 5th, 6th, and 7th editions of the African American International Conference on Sustainable Transportation (ICTA2022) were held at the Centre for Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies, Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland, the USA on 26th – 28th July 2022.

About the organizer

The Group, in collaboration with Transport Stakeholders, Universities and Transport Professionals in Africa/ America, has been organizing International Transportation Conferences in African countries and America. The 1st and 2nd editions were held in Botswana (2014 and 2015) and the 3rd edition in Ghana (2016). The 4th edition of the International Conference on Transportation in Africa (ICTA 2017) took place on 18th to 20th October 2017 at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria while the 5th edition took place in America at Centre for Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies, Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA on 29th – 31st October, 2019. The 6th and 7th virtual editions took place online via Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA in July 28-30, 2021 and July 26-28, 2022 respectively. The 8th edition will be held in Zambia, Southern Africa and in-person at Livingstone with Victoria falls and wildlife views. You cannot afford to miss it!
