Event description
The Virtual 8th Annual 2nd Lieutenant Justin Sisson Memorial 5K, starting on Saturday, March 13th at 7:00 AM.

About this Event

The FSU Seminole Battalion is proud to present the 8th Annual 2nd Lieutenant Justin Sisson Memorial 5K. Each year the race is held in honor of our Seminole Battalion brother, 2nd Lieutenant Justin Sisson. The Justin Sisson 5k is an annual race held to honor the life and legacy of an FSU Alumni and Army brother that made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country. 2LT Justin Sisson graduated from the FSU's Army ROTC program in 2012, and was KIA in Afghanistan in 2013. Justin's legacy continues through this annual 5k race, as well as the through the Justin Sisson Scholarship Fund, which benefits Veterans in need and deserving Army ROTC cadets.

This year's remembrance 5K will be a virtual run. This way, participants will have the freedom to run from home or at their favorite park to continue our remembrance of our fallen brother, while keeping loved ones safe during this global pandemic.
