The 8th Annual Hope Walk against All Violence will be Saturday September 9th beginning at 8 a.m. Once again I'm asking my community to help me, help victims of Domestic Violence. In light of COVID -19 Domestic Violence has increased in our community. Our victims need your support now more than ever. Our plan is to take a stroll across the Ravenel Bridge on the 9th of September. we're asking that you join us by walking in your communities in support of victims of Domestic Violence. You can also purchase your items at the link below and please visit our new website : https://www.palmettohopenetwork.org/

Charleston's 8th Annual “Hope Walk 2023 Walk/Run against Domestic Violence" . Saturday, September 9th from 8:00am-11:00am beginning on the Charleston side of the Ravenel Bridge and ending on the Mt. Pleasant side of the bridge.

By committing to Walk or Run with us, or even if you prefer to support from home , you are directly helping to support vital advocacy services to those affected by domestic violence. With facts and statistics such as South Carolina ranks #6 on the list of states of men that murder women, So it is vital that we stand up and do something. In fact, The Violence Policy Center says about two women are killed for every 100 thousand people, making our state’s death rate more than twice the national average full.

Your participation in this event will aid Palmetto Hope Network in being able to provide the necessary services to victims displaced by Domestic Violence through crisis intervention, emergency motel placement, food, safety planning and a wide range of other critically important supports to keep them safe and moving forward. Currently, for every five calls we may get in a weekend, we are only able to house one or two victims on our current budget.

It has been recognized that the most dangerous time for a victim is when they leave the relationship. 50% of injuries and 75% of domestic homicides occur after the relationship ends. It is very heartbreaking to turn away a victim that could not find shelter or another safe place to go.

This walk is for the many who can’t find help.

Will you help us help them?

This event includes speech’s by special guests TBA Along with our HANDS ACCROSS THE RAVENEL BRIDGE!! were asking the community to come out and link hands from the Charleston to the Mount Pleasant side in hopes to send a message loud and clear, it's time to STOP THE VIOLENCE!!!

Your sponsorship’s monetary donation guarantees that victims in our community continue to have access to free and confidential services 24 hours a day. It is your voice stating loud and clear that you "STAND WITH US AND AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE"! Hope to see you there!
