The theme mainly falls on “Probiotics, Health and Innovation

Probiotics Congress 2019 mainly focus on Nutritional supplements, Health & Dietary issues across the globe. It is related to every aspect of Nutrition, Food Science, Health & Dietary research which provides new opportunities for specialists of all over the world to meet, exchange, organize and explore new technologies and research ideas. We invite all the prominent researchers, students, doctors, nutritionists, industrial experts, food technicians, healthcare specialist and delegates to participate in our upcoming Probiotics Congress 2019 to witness valuable scientific talks and discussions and contribute to the future innovative ideas and technologies about Nutrition & Food Sciences.

Probiotics Congress 2019 is an international conference where the various nutrition related concept was discussed on single platform. Probiotics Congress 2019 goal is to promulgate and exchange knowledge in Probiotics, Nutraceuticals and nutritional importance in the life. Therefore, a perfect platform to gain knowledge about health and nutrition at the venue of Hong Kong.

Sessions/Tracks

Track 1: Probiotics and Antimicrobial Proteins

Probiotics are living microorganism that are good for health & digestion while consuming. Probiotic bacteria have the property which is deposit in our alimentary canal and kills bad bacteria, it does not disturb the good bacteria which is present in our Gut & intestine. Antimicrobial proteins are one which is killing the unwanted microorganism in the host. Antimicrobial proteins are acting against the harmful microbes.


Track 2: Probiotics for Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a common disorder that affects the large intestine of our body. Various symptoms for IBS are cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas and diarrhea or constipation. IBS doesn't cause changes in bowel tissue it will increase your risk of colorectal cancer. Hence medical counseling is required for long term. Probiotic strains are useful to treat IBS. Lactobacillus strains & Bifidobacterium strains are used to cure IBS.


Track 3: Probiotics and Gastrointestinal Health

Gastrointestinal health deals with the proper health aspect of GI tract. Various disorders are caused by the harmful bacteria present in our stomach. The most common problem occurring in GI tract is Constipation & Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Peptic Ulcer Disease, Belching, Bloating, Flatulence, Nausea and Vomiting are the common problem in GI tract. Probiotics are the living good microorganism which is curing the IBS & other related disorders. Probiotics are important for the GI health.


Track 4: Nutraceuticals & Dietary supplements

Nutraceuticals are the fortified food products derived from food sources taken as supplements to provide extra health benefits & treating/curing the diseases. It is also called Dietary supplements & Functional foods. It can prevent chronic diseases, improve health, delay the aging, increase life expectancy, or support the structure or function of the body. Dietary supplements are necessary for dietary activity of our body.


Track 5: Spirulina the Probiotic Algae

Spirulina is a blue green alga with rich source of proteins. It is mainly used as a health supplements in the Eastern Asia region. Spirulina is a natural supplement which enhancing our immune system. Spirulina contains plenty of gut-supporting nutrition. Spirulina produces beneficial bacteria when it undergoes fermentation helps in digestion.


Track 6: Food & Dairy Technology

Food technology is the branch of Nourishment science that arrangements with production and process of food. Food technology mainly deals with the Bioprocess technology. Various techniques are following under food technology. Dairy technology manages the handling of milk and milk products. Dairy innovation includes preparing, packaging, storing, distribution and transportation of dairy items by suggesting the study of bacteriology, nutrition and organic chemistry.


Track 7: Functional Foods

A food which is given an additional function which relates to disease prevention or health promotion with added ingredients that are not present in that food stuff or more of an existing ingredient. They may have physiological benefits and reduces the chance of chronic diseases and consumed along with daily diet.


Track 8: Probiotics in Veterinary Health

Veterinary health deals with the health condition of pet & cattle breeding animals. Microflora is the region in Gastrointestinal tract of all the animals where several different microorganisms are present. The microflora is very important to the health of the host. The GI tract is sterile during childbirth yet is very quickly colonized by microorganisms from the birth trench and the earth. Hence Probiotics medicine is given to animals along with their food used to prevent & cure the GI disorders.


Track 9: Probiotics in Aquaculture

Aquaculture is the farming of aquatic organisms. Various antimicrobial drugs, pesticides & disinfectant are used for disease prevention & control in aquaculture. Disease resistant strains of bacteria are developing because of evolution. Thus, the alternative strategy is Probiotics which is used to prevention of pathogenic infections, development of the immune system & increased nutrition in the aquatic species.


Track 10: Probiotics & Constipation

Constipation is a condition in which difficulty in emptying the bowels. Whereas various laxatives & stool softeners are used for curing. Result of such products are ineffectiveness & causes other issues sometimes higher doses leads to diarrhea. Hence Probiotics plays a major role in constipation it is used as a natural laxative compared to the drug which is designed synthetically to treat constipation & related symptoms.


Track 11: Microbial Fermentation

Fermentation is the metabolic process breakdown of organic material using microbes present in our Gastrointestinal tract. Fermentation takes place all over the GI tract of animals, but their intensity depends on microbe number. Large bowel has highest number of microbes. Large intestine is the important site of fermentation. Digestion and metabolism of carbohydrates, Synthesis of vitamin K and certain B are the two-process involved in fermentation. Fermentation is the major source of intestinal gas.

Probioceuticals are the Probiotic-derived factors which are influencing their probiotic activity through various mechanisms. It is mainly involved in the Stress management, Clinical efficacy to support GI and immune health, Weight management & Metabolic disorders, Prevents inflammation in asthma & Osteoarthritis.


Track 13: Probiotics Side Effects

Probiotics are safe it is health supplement for the diet. The side effects of Probiotics are very rare, it can cause short term side effects are temporary increase mild gas & bloating which is caused by Bacteria-based probiotic supplements & may experience constipation and increased thirst due to yeast-based supplements.


Track 14: Food Chemistry

Food chemistry is the branch of Food Science and it deals with the chemical process and the interactions of both biological and non-biological substances in food and its composition, physical and chemical properties, structure that takes place during various levels of processing and utilization. Three basic structural groups include fats, carbohydrates and proteins.


Track 15: Nutricosmetics

Nutricosmetics are nutritional supplements involved in structure & function of the skin. Micronutrients such as vitamin C, Omega-3 fatty acids, carotenes and flavonoids helps to protect the skin from various damages such as wrinkles, ageing of skin, UV protection and reduces the impact of free radicles. The first person to invent Nutricosmetics is the Swedish biochemist “Ake Dahlgren”.


Track 16: Marketing strategy of Nutraceuticals

Nutraceuticals industry is growing rapidly in recent times because of its importance & uses in the Nutritional & Medical aspects. Various reasons for these market growths are higher incomes, increased consciousness about health. Nutraceuticals are considered as a fortified food product. Some of the direct marketing approaches for nutraceutical products are Retail OTC selling, Specialized outlets, Direct to consumer selling and MLM.


Track 17: Industrial development of Functional foods

Functional foods are the modified food that are fortified with Vitamins & Nutraceuticals to improve their health standards. Functional foods industries are mainly following these Innovation policies, Nutrients and Bioactive Substances, Food Vehicles for Bioactive Ingredients, Nutrigenomics and Function of Bioactive Components, Expanded Incentives for Health and Nutrition Research concepts for their Industrial development.


Track 18: Probiotic Delivery Systems

Probiotics uses the nutraceuticals products for supplementation in intestinal flora. Probiotics delivery system mainly depends on the Viability of probiotics compound & the sufficient number of probiotics in the target intestine. Probiotics Viability is mainly depending on several environmental factors such as pH, temperature. For delivery microencapsulation materials are being used.


Track 19: Prebiotics

Prebiotics are the non-digestible food ingredients that affect the intestinal flora of the host by stimulating the growth of beneficial microorganisms (bacteria) in the gut to improve health of host. Prebiotics should be consumed through food rather than a supplement. Prebiotics is importantly used for weight loss of our body & burning the abdominal fat.

Probiotics are the beneficial bacteria used to treat various digestive problems. In plants, endophytes play a major role in atmospheric nitrogen fixation. In Leguminous plants various organisms are present in the leaves, stem. Probiotics are involving in increasing the crop production.


Track 21: Probiotics in Pediatrics

Pediatrics is the branch of medical science which involves the baby care, medical care of infants, child & adolescents. Probiotics are used to treat acute viral gastroenteritis & antibiotic-associated diarrhea in children’s. Probiotics increases the weight in very low birth weight infants. Diarrhea is the major concern for children whereas probiotic supplements are the best remedy for them to maintain their GI tract healthy.


Track 22: Probiotics in Diabetes

Probiotics play a huge role in digestion. The food we eat feeds the bacteria in our gut. Eating too many processed foods feed wrong bacteria in our gut. Diabetes are also caused by doing exactly that. Too much sugar simply translates into the overgrowth of bad bacteria. Probiotics should ideally comprise at least 80% of the total gut bacteria. Adding probiotics in our food as a supplement can ignore the store of excess fat & regulates the proper metabolism.

Pathology is the branch of medical science which deals with the study of diseases which caused by pathogens or non-infectious pathogens. Pathology is the modern medical diagnosis & research based on the laboratory analysis of body fluids e.g. blood & urine. Health properties of probiotics are the interaction between intestinal microflora and enterocytes & the immune system and the use of probiotic products.


Track 25: Probiotics in Dentistry

Probiotics are controlling Periodontal contamination and halitosis. Periodontitis is a multifactorial ailment that includes the hard-and delicate tissue, microbial colonization (with or without attack), fiery reactions and versatile invulnerable reactions. Probiotics diminish the pH of the oral depression, so plaque microscopic organisms can't shape dental plaque and math that causes the periodontal malady. Probiotics are utilized to treat bad breath.


Track 26: Probiotics for Weight Loss

Gut bacteria are regulating the body weight of our body. Belly fat is due to over consumption of food containing excess fat. In which bad flora present in our gut region does not eliminate this fat from our large intestine. This condition leads to excess weight & belly bloat whereas consuming probiotics will help to ease digestive woes & reduce the belly fat. Probiotics may inhibit the absorption of dietary fat, increasing the amount of fat excreted with feces.
