All Saints Catholic Church Reopening Guidelines
• All Saints Catholic Church is happy to announce the return to in-person mass. Our reopening will be contingent upon having enough volunteers to meet all the Diocesan health, and safety guidelines. Please check the parish website at http:/parisher.rcda.org/ALLSaints/# or call the parish office at 518-482-4497 for updates.
• Please note, in light of ongoing health risks, the temporary suspension of the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days during the pandemic remains in place.
• If you are not feeling well, have cold or flu-like symptoms, a temperature above 100.3F, a persistent cough, symptoms of a respiratory illness, or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please stay home.
• There will be several changes prior to, during, and after Mass that this letter will address, and the information will be available in the bulletin, and on the parish website.
• We will continue to live-stream the 10:30am Mass on Sundays.
• Parishioners who wish to attend Mass will be required to register, by noon, on the Friday before the coming weekend’s Mass. The 10:30am Sunday Mass will be offered at 25% capacity of the church. You will be able to register to attend Mass in person through the parish website http:/parisher.rcda.org/AllSaints/# or by phoning the church office at 518-482-4497. An Attestation Form will be available in the bulletin and on our website, please fill this form out for yourself and other family members, and bring this to church when you attend Mass. Only one form is required, each week, for each family living in the same house and attending Mass together.
• Please plan to come to church 15-20 minutes earlier than your normal arrival time for the check-in process.
• The church parking lots will have Attendants to direct you. At this time, only the front door facing Homestead St will be used as the entrance. Please maintain 6ft social distance outside the entrance as you wait to be checked in. All attendees will be screened, masks must be worn, and practice social distancing. At the screening station you will be given a ticket with your seat number(s) on it. Please tell the usher your seat # and the usher will direct you to your seat. Keep the ticket to dispose of at home.
• Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance to church and at the exits in church, but it is advisable to bring your own.
• Please wear masks, properly covering your mouth and nose, while in church, remove mask briefly if receiving communion.
• We will not be using missalettes, or music leaflets, and parishioners are asked not to bring missals to church. Please listen prayerfully to the music. We ask that you refrain from singing at this time.
• There will be no gathering procession.
• We will not pass the collection basket, but two baskets will be available for your donation as you enter church, or you can continue mailing in your offering. Online Giving Platforms are now available: webpage, mobile, texting. Please visit our website at: https://parishes.rcda.org/AllSaints/# Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
• The offering of the Sign of Peace may not include physical contact and no holding hands when saying the Our Father.
• The way we distribute communion will look remarkably different than it did before our church was closed. It is important that you follow these instructions closely. - You will not be exiting your pew or move from your seat. The priest or the deacon will bring communion directly to you. Please, do not remove your mask or reach out to take the host. When you are approached, simply place your left hand over your right with your palms flattened and pointing upward. This will allow the minister to place the host in the palm of your hand without any physical contact between you and him. Do not consume the host until communion has been distributed to everyone else in your row and the minister has exited it and moved to the next. At that point, use your right hand to remove your mask, consume the consecrated host and then immediately put your mask back on. It is important that you follow these steps closely. Should the minister touch someone's hand during the distribution of communion he will have to immediately stop what he is doing and re-sanitize his hands so as not to contaminate anything he touches, especially the hosts to be distributed to the remaining people in line. If you do not wish to receive communion, please cross your arms over your chest.
• At the conclusion of Mass wait at your seat for the ushers to direct you to exit from the side aisles. Exiting will be through the doors at the front of the church only (Homestead St Exit). Hand sanitizer will be available as you approach the exit. Follow the directions of the Attendants to exit the parking lot.
• The bulletin will continue to be emailed to you if you are on the parish email list, or mailed to you upon request.
• Please be aware that there are no public bathrooms at the church.
