Course Description: This advanced interactive course reinforces ethical behaviors for insurance professionals. By attending this course, agents and producers will learn an ethical decision-making model to help guide them when faced with situations with ethical dilemmas in the office and with customers.

Through the review of real-world case studies, agents will be asked to address typical insurance claim situations requiring ethical business considerations.

  • Case studies to include topics such as:
  • Should a customer file a claim or pay out of pocket?
  • Customers claiming to have hit something. What really happened?
  • Bogus claims. Was the damage there when they bought the vehicle?
  • Repair shops that bury deductibles. How can they do that?

As a result of course attendance, agents will be able to practice their moral reasoning capabilities to sharpen their decision making process to protect their reputation and the trust they have with the customer and the insurance company for whom they represent to create long-term value.
