Description

Dear Guests,

The 8200 Alumni Association is glad to invite you to our first NYC Cocktail event. Join us for refreshing drinks and appetizers in an event dedicated to Unit 8200 and its Alumni.

The event will feature Israel's best and brightest startups, the participants of the EISP Accelerator, will showcase the activities and work of the 8200 Alumni Association, the official non-profit organization of 8200 alumni and will feature a delegation of young, promising women that take part in Woman2Woman, the Alumni Association's Women Mentorship Program. Finally, former senior officers serving in Unit 8200 will honor us with their presence.

The event, sponsored by Loeb&Loeb LLP (http://www.loeb.com), will take place on October 30, 2017, in 399 Lafayette St, NYC.

8200 Alumni Association:

8200 Alumni Association (S.M.2), is a non-profit organization, established and managed by senior alumni of the Israeli National Signal Intelligence Unit, 8200, the Israeli equivalent of the NSA. 17,000 members and 27 years strong, the association is dedicated to providing added value to its alumni, to the preservation of its legacy and to give back to the Israeli society. To do so, the association hosts networking events, operates community outreach programs and promotes entrepreneurship in Israel. Many 8200 alumni currently serve in senior positions within the Israeli government, the private and public sectors. 8200 alumni are also very well-known as successful and influential entrepreneurs. It is no surprise, therefore, that 8200 is often referred to as “Israel’s equivalent of Harvard, Princeton and Yale”.

8200 EISP Accelerator:

The 8200 EISP Accelerator is the first start-up accelerator founded in Israel, harnessing the vast network of 8200 alumni to promote early stage entrepreneurs and start-ups from all industries. Each year, the program supports up to 15 hand-picked start-ups, selected from hundreds of applicants.

The 8200 EISP accelerator has a proven track record: It has supported 130 start-ups, 82% of which are still active, raising over a combined $400M, employing more than 450 people in Israel and overseas. Application for its 8th year of activity is open! For more info, please see the program’s website.

Woman2Woman Program:

The 8200 Woman2Woman Program encompasses a unique curriculum that is undertaken by young women who are facing their first professional "crossroads". The purpose of the program is to give these young women guidance and the keys to success in fulfilling their goals through developing their personal and professional skills.

At the core of the program is a process of personal mentoring by leading women who were chosen for their leadership and high-level positions within different frameworks of Israeli society: High-Tech, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Law, Business & Strategy, Political Science and the Third Sector.
