8:15 Hiroshima : From Father to Daughter is a gripping story of the atrocities of war and the overwhelming power for love and forgiveness.

Co-hosted by INSEAD, Wharton, Booth and Kellogg MBA Alumni Associations

Schedule:

7:00 PM : Movie Premiere at Laemmle Royal in West LA

8:00 PM : Q&A with Director J.R. Heffelfinger and Executive Producer and Author Dr. Akiko Mikamo

8:30 PM : Drinks and mingle at Nickle Mine

Movie Summary:

Akiko Mikamo is a child of Hiroshima. Weaving audio and video recordings from interviews she conducted with her father Shinji Mikamo, archival images of the aftermath of the first use of atomic weapons against humanity, as well as re-enactments spoken in Hiroshima dialect, this film is woven together in an innovative documentary format to give you a rare first person account of the bombing of Hiroshima.

This is a remarkable true story about the resiliency of the human spirit, compassion and forgiveness.
