James Michael Rodgers
As a musician I find it very important to play with as many other musicians as possible. On my new record I have some beautiful and true musicians on it. Two wonderful Gjembi players 'Osmon and Paul' who I met busking in Ashton lane. I have two amazing musicians I borrowed from the wonderful 'Big Hogg', flute player Sophie saxon and Richey and the wonderful rhythm section and lead guitarist from my musical brothers 'Harry and the Hendersons'. My music is based on the thoughts and emotions i've had during the past two years of travelling, loving, fearing and learning about people, life and music. It's of great importance to me that the music and lyrics are true. This is also important for the production process and this is why I sought the hands and ears of Luigi Pasquini of 'how to make sushi records' for the record. We recorded most of the parts live and using as little effects as possible, with some important over dubs to add to the arrangement of the songs. It has been a long process due to some technical and personal problems but the record itself took one week to record and mix and should be available on Vinyl, download and CD in the next few months. Until then I will continue to play anwhere and everywhere that has me. Any information you want about my music and bookings just ask.
