80 To Work CNC


Greenville Technical College is partnering with Machining Training Solutions (MTS) to offer 80 To Work CNC Program, an intensive two-week training designed to deliver an entry-level skill set for CNC Level “C” machinists. Specific training areas include geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), ISO standards, safety, Metrology, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, math for machining, tooling, CNC control panel, reading blueprints and fixtures.

Students will engage in a combination of hands-on work, machining, and simulation work that will provide the basic skills needed to operate any CNC machine. After completing the program, individuals will be skilled and qualified to work in a manufacturing company as an entry-level CNC operator.

Qualified applicants can receive up to $6,000 in scholarship funds for training.

Training dates: Oct. 16-27 or Nov. 6-17, 2017

To be eligible you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a South Carolina resident
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Score Silver Level or higher on the WorkKeys assessment
  • Provide evidence of a recent (within seven days) "clear" 10-Panel drug screen
  • Attend an 80 To Work CNC Information Session
